Robert D. Steele – Chairman of the Board

Bob Steele has been Chairman of the Board of Berens since March 2002 and was President and CEO up to May, 2007. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Stellarton Energy Corporation from 1996 to 2001 and President of Stellarton Resources and Secure Oil Tools from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Steele has over 30 years of successful experience in exploration, production and oil field service. Bob brings experience in starting up and building companies, dealing with the financial community and public markets. He has a Bachelor of Arts and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dan Botterill –President and CEO

Dan Botterill joined Berens in July 2003 as President and Chief Operating Officer, and was promoted to President in May, 2007. Prior to that, Dan was Senior Vice President with Samson Canada Limited where for four years he had been responsible for Samson’s Canadian operations. During his term, Samson Canada grew from 7,000 to 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day through profitable development, exploration and acquisitions. Dan has also held various technical and management positions with Home Oil and Anderson Exploration. He has over 30 years of diversified oil and gas engineering and business experience and has a track record of economically achieving production growth through exploration and production activities as well as through acquisitions. He brings the ability to put in place and manage a strong oil and gas team. Dan has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba.

Dell Chapman – Chief Financial Officer

Dell Chapman joined Berens in June 2003 as Vice President Finance and CFO. Prior to that he was Chief Financial Officer of Technicoil Corporation in 2001 and 2002 and Chief Financial Officer of Stellarton Energy Corporation from 1997 to 2001. Dell has 22 years of experience in accounting, income tax, financial analysis, and budgeting and investor relations, most of which was spent in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Chapman brings extensive experience in dealing with investors, banks and investment banks as well as a strong base of public company reporting and disclosure. Mr. Chapman has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Accountant as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Al Schink- Senior Vice President of Exploration

Mr. Schink joined Berens in April, 2007 and brings to Berens over 25 years of exploration and business experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Schink most recently held the position of President and CEO of Berland Exploration up until January, 2006, at which time Berens acquired the company. Prior to that, he held several senior management positions at Burlington Canada and Canadian Hunter Exploration where he led their exploration programs in the Central Alberta region. Mr. Schink is not only well known in the business as a successful oil and gas explorer but brings his specific experience in the Deep Basin and Pembina areas to Berens.

Cam Virginillo - Senior Vice President of Engineering

Mr. Virginillo joined Berens in August, 2003 and has been key in developing Berens asset base since that time. Mr Virginillo brings to Berens over 20 years of engineering and business experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to that, Mr. Virginillo held a senior management position with Deminex and managed the engineering operations in their Cairo, Egypt office for over 5 years as well as several years of operations and reservoir engineering experience with Home Oil and Anderson Exploration. Mr. Virginillo's experiences have exposed him to all facets of the exploitation of oil and gas not only in Canada but overseas as well.
